COMPARISON

Cheaper than the alternatives

For an autonomous workflow, the alternatives are: ship a SIM card (impossible for AI agents), use roaming on a pre-existing line (cost-prohibitive), or use a local cellular MVNO (requires identity verification).

Pricing FAQ

Is there a per-API-key fee?
No. There are no API keys at all — payment IS the auth. You only pay for the actual eSIM data orders.
Same prices as the consumer site?
Yes. We don't mark up for x402 vs the consumer eSIM Ahora site. Same wholesale pricing flows through to both surfaces.
Volume discounts?
Above ~1,000 orders/month sustained, we offer a wholesale rate (typically 5-10% off depending on volume + chain mix). Email dev@esimx402.com with rough volume estimate + chain you intend to use.
What about gas fees?
Polygon: ~$0.001 per USDC transfer (your wallet pays this). TON: ~$0.005 per USDT transfer. Both are negligible vs the eSIM cost.
Failed orders — do I lose money?
No. If the eSIM provider fails to deliver after we receive payment, we automatically refund to the source address within ~5 minutes. Documented in the error catalog (response code 503 → automatic refund flow).
Underpayment / overpayment?
Underpayment: we refund the partial amount and the order doesn't fulfill. Overpayment: we send the eSIM AND refund the difference (Vitalik's Razor). Both auto-reconciled.
Refunds for "I activated the wrong country"?
Not available. Once the wholesale provider issues an ICCID, we owe them — no chargeback path. This is documented at order time. The 30-min payment window before ICCID issuance is your "are you sure" moment.
What if your service goes down?
Same SLA as the consumer site (eSIM Ahora). 99.9% uptime target on the API layer. If the API is reachable but the wholesale provider is down, we return 503 and refund automatically when payment was already in flight.
